Hayakawa Delivers Commemorative Lecture at International Symposium

Prof. Masashi Hayakawa, Representative Director of QuakeInsight Tokyo and Professor Emeritus at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC), delivered a special lecture at the 2025 International Symposium on Earth and Space Environment Monitoring and its Application to Disaster Risk Reduction, held at UEC on November 11, 2025. 

The lecture, titled Study of Electromagnetic Noise for 50 Years, was presented in recognition of his receipt of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon, a Japanese national decoration, in 2025.

Prof. Hayakawa reviewed five decades of research on electromagnetic noise and discussed its application to earthquake prediction.
