Dr. Sudipta Sasmal, International Advisor and Collaborative Researcher at QuakeInsight Tokyo, gave a lecture on hazards, space weather, and the ionosphere at the Japan–India Academic Exchange Kickoff Symposium held at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) on March 6, 2026.

The symposium was organized as part of the university's initiative to strengthen international academic collaboration. Researchers from Japan and India shared recent findings in fields including AI, space weather, biomedical engineering, and quantum physics.
